Novel Blog - Writing The Great American Novel

I watched Lakeview Terrace this morning at the $5 early show. The movie stars Samuel Jackson, Patrick Wilson, and Kerry Washington.

Patrick Wilson (Chris Mattson) and Kerry Washington (Lisa Mattson) move in next door to Samuel Jackson (Abel Turner). Abel Turner disapproves of the marriage and begins to take it out on them via a series of events including slashing the tires on their car, chopping down some trees on the property line, and hiring someone to vandalize their house while everyone is attending a neighborhood party.

There are a lot of professional reviews available on the internet. Here's a positive review from Roger Ebert and a negative review from Wesley Morris. I will say that I enjoyed the movie, but I definitely understand why some critics and viewers have expressed strong love it/hate it impressions of the movie.

It's not a movie everyone will/can appreciate, but if you approach it with an open mind it's worth watching.
