Idea

I heard an unusual news item on the radio tonight during my drive home that would make an interesting premise for a novel. Jennifer Thompson-Cannino accused Ronald Cotton of rape and Cotton spent 11 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit. He has since been released based on DNA evidence. Unbelievably, the two developed a friendship in the process.

Ronald Cotton: "...we were the victims of the same injustice by the same man, and this gave us a common ground to stand on. Together we were able to help each other heal through a shared experience."

Forgiveness has long been a popular theme for novels.

What do you think?

Brian,

Forgiveness is a theme in my first novel, Thin Blue Smoke, and will be the primary theme of my second. Timeless.

Doug,

Thin Blue Smoke is setting on my coffee table next to me as I type this. It's definitely my next read. I'm so looking forward to it.
