Heaven on Earth by Crawford Solomon

The St. Petersburg Times recently included a fascinating feature article about Crawford Solomon. Crawford dropped out of the typical American society in 1970 and since that time has lived "off the grid" on his Florida property. He spent a lot of time living off the land and sleeping in a "chickee".

A Vietnam veteran, a philosopher with degrees from University of Florida, and a proven naturalist, Mr. Solomon's autobiography was recently published at CrawfordSolomon.com.

I've only started reading it, but thought I'd share the link for anyone that is interested. It kind of reminds me of a Carl Hiassen novel. Mr. Solomon has a subtle similarity to Hiassen's character "Skink".

The manuscript was handwritten by Mr. Solomon and put on the web by his friends.
