The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon

I put this book down for a couple of months to focus on other things, but picked it back up this weekend and finished it up. The last 150 pages flew by. It's moved to the top of the list of my favorite Stephen King novels.

At 260 pages, The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon is shorter than the typical King novels. The book also has a very simple concept. The first 40-pages provide a basic introduction to the novel's main plotline.

A young girl is hiking with her mother and brother in the woods. She steps off the trail momentarily and crouches down to answer the call of nature. Within a few moments of standing back up, she becomes lost in the woods and is unable to find her way back to the trail.
