Southeastern Guide Dogs

Posted by Backyard Urban Gardening on Sunday, January 27, 2008

I recently read an article in my local newspaper about Southeastern Guide Dogs in Palmetto, FL. Through the "Paws for Independence Program", Southeastern Guide Dogs provides guide dogs, training, and support for sight challenged individuals. The service also provides dogs for law enforcement, therapy, and services, such as pullling a wheel chair.

Please join me in supporting this organization with a donation. The organization receives no state, federal, or local agency support. The ability to provide guide dogs is dependent upon fundraising efforts. Now 25 years old, individuals and organizations, for example, can sponsor a dog for under $2,500 and are given opportunity to name the puppy.

My fundraising goal this year is to raise $2,500 for Southeastern Guide Dogs, enough to sponsor a puppy through training.
